St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Elgin Texas has a congregation which is deeply rooted in a small town which is experiencing rapid expansion because of a close proximity to the capital city of Austin. The City of Elgin recently coined the phrase “perfectly situated” to describe itself. We believe that St. Peter’s is also “perfectly situated” in its ability to grow and prosper in our community. The community has grown exponentially and St. Peter’s hopes to encourage growth within the newest sections of our community.

Prayer Requests

Then come help the new team that has formed to increase prayer and the power of prayer in the life of our congregation. We hope to improve the process by which all of us share our prayer concerns. You can submit a prayer request selecting prayer requests . You will also find forms in your pew along with the attendance cards. Please complete the form and return it in the offering plate just as you would your attendance card. These requests will then be published in our weekly bulletin insert and our monthly newsletter. Our Card Ministry will also use the prayer /praise requests to improve our prayer outreach. The new prayer team also plans to follow up and keep our prayer list current with new concerns and updates. We will be viewing and discussing Courageous, a 2011 Drama which is rated PG-13 for some violence and drug content

Description: When a tragedy strikes close to home, four police officers struggle with their faith and their roles as husbands and fathers; together they make a decision that will change all of their lives.

Eat dinner before you come or you can bring your dinner with you (picking up Pizza Hut with the Youth Group Flyer would be a great idea!!!).  Popcorn will be provided.  Invite your friends.

Installation Service for Pastor Bridget Thien February 26, 2012
at 3:30 p.m. 

A reception will be held in the parish hall after the service.  All members are encouraged to attend this service as we welcome Pastor Bridget into the St. Peter's Family.
